Dayton Taco Challenge 50k

The Dayton Taco Challenge 50K is not just another endurance event; it is a sacred rite of passage fueled by tortillas, poor judgment, and spiritual resilience. 

Participants will attempt to cover 50 kilometers (~31 miles) while making a series of increasingly bad decisions, including—but not limited to—consuming Taco Bell at regular intervals and trusting their bodies to “figure it out.”

Runners will self-support their way to each mandatory "aid station" serving a rotating menu of tacos, burritos, chalupas, and the all-hailed Baja Blast. Every mile marker brings new regrets. Every wrapper is a promise broken. Runners will not only experience all five stages of grief, but will discover the sixth stage known only as “digestive haggling.”  Walking is allowed. Crying is encouraged.

There are no pacers—only witnesses. Volunteers and passersby will aggressively encourage you with phrases like, “Don't drop your chalupa!” and “Think outside your buns!”
