Dayton Track club ran all over the world last weekend!

What an incredible weekend for our Dayton Track Club training program runners! On Feb. 28 and March 1, our members completed marathons and half-marathons around the U.S. and the world, chasing goals and representing DTC with grit and heart.
In one amazing weekend:
• Dana Frazer conquered the legendary Tokyo Marathon in Japan, crossing out another bucket-list race.
• Mike Owens crushed a half marathon in the historic streets of Rome.
• Janet and Greg Bastian took on the Cowtown half in Fort Worth, while Paul Black did the full marathon — Texas-sized effort!
• Carol Evans and Lauren Miyamasu blazed through the Little Rock half in Arkansas to bring home the bling.
• Damian Elking, Lara Elking and Shannon Miller charged up the rolling hills of the Publix Atlanta half marathon.

• Coach Katie Gerspacher-Woods and Julie Nau ran the Greenville, South Carolina, half marathon, with Julie recording a PR.
That’s two countries, multiple states and endless miles of inspiration for everyone back home in Dayton.
The Feb. 28-March 1 weekend was just the start of a busy spring for DTC training group members. On March 8, Hector Zambrano heads to the Los Angeles Marathon to run his second marathon in just six months, and more DTC runners are in training for Carmel in Indiana; Glass City in Toledo; Cap City in Columbus; and of course, the Flying Pig in Cincinnati.
Shoutout to everyone who showed up for themselves and represented our current DTC training groups – Run/Walk and Base Camp. The speed work, hill training and Saturday morning long runs paid off in a big way.
If you’re looking to prepare for a goal race with other motivated runners and dedicated coaches, visit our training page to sign up for our upcoming programs.
If you raced this weekend (or have pics to share), please send them to run@daytontrackclub.com. We’d love to feature more of your adventures!
